Standing Stone State Park is a historical gem just a few minutes from RanDale Farm guest house. It was built by the WPA in the 1930's during The Great Depression. The park consists of several miles of hiking trails with awesome views, especially during the Fall. Also, the park offers Ranger guided hikes during Spring when the wildflowers are in bloom. The park also offers boat rentals for fishing and recreation. If you are a history buff, this park will amaze you. In the summer, the park is alive with activities including swimming and naturalist activities. If you really want to go on an adventure, let me know, I worked as a Park Ranger there for 16 years and can inform you of some activities and places not many are aware of!

Note: If accessing marinas via Hwy 136 there is a one-lane bridge at Standing Stone State Park that will not accommodate trailers over 20'.

it is a beautiful but curvy 28 mile drive to Sgt. Alvin C. York State Park, but well worth it if your interested in history and the most decorated soldier of WW1. Make sure to stop by the York General Store.

Pickett CCC (Civilian Conservation Corp) Memorial State Park is located 37 miles from RanDale Farm guest house. It has great hiking, boating, and a must see for those interested in history. A great day trip would be to take in Cordell Hull Park, Sgt. York Park, and Pickett Park.

An area named Window Cliffs is also nearby. it is a day use park and has a wonderful 2.7 mile hike with 18 creek crossings. Note: This park is subject to close when flooding.

Hilham is a true country community. It is a very safe place to visit and live. While grilling out or sitting by the fire pit you may hear animal noises and sounds of the wild. The guest house is adjacent to the homeowners and there is a barn and outbuilding near.
