Like the famous Bluebird Cafe, this is where you can see seasoned songwriters and musicians perform as well as performers before they become a household name. Check their calendar for lots of $5 or $10 “dinner shows”. Music fans will not be disappointed. In Music City, you never know who will drop in for a chance to jam. The food options are simple “bar fare” ordered from the menu with a full bar. If you park in the lots next door for $10, you can walk .8 miles after the show to “Nashvegas” and avoid parking costs of $20 to $30 near Broadway.

Hiking
I can tell you about hiking spots an hour or two outside of Nashville if you want waterfalls, cliffs and amazing views. But you can get a great workout hiking the two ridges at Radnor surrounded by beautiful woods, lake and lots of wildlife (Turkey, deer, squirrels, otters, chipmunks and birds galore). You won’t believe you are IN the city.
