Casa japonesa tradicional de cubierta de paja rehabilitada cuya estructura original proviene del periodo Edo (1603–1867). Antiguamente una "prisión" para ingenieros samuráis que no consiguieron construir un puente de piedra (el actual "Meganebashi") hace 200 años. La casa está protegida por la ley de edificios históricos, y los carpinteros y artesanos que trabajaron en la cubierta de paja han trabajado en edificios registrados por la UNESCO en todo el país.
