The Arches - a beautifully renovated apartment

'The Arches' is a beautiful, traditional Garfagnana home. The building is around 500 years old, and is thought to be at the very heart of the original Cardoso, with the village growing around this centre over the next few centuries. Recently restored, the house has many original features, including wooden beams, terracotta tiles and its two distinctive arches. Quality features complement this history in the form of two modern bathrooms, central heating and a contemporary kitchen.

“La dimora del Codirosso” is my historic family home in which I rent a part to those who travel or seek rest, rediscovering the atmosphere of the past. The house is hidden in a small medieval village in the Norther Tuscany, Brucciano, among the tranquility of the woods and mountains of Garfagnana's area. On request I’ll be happy to prepare for you a delicious Italian breakfast or other meals but, remember, these service are not included in the price and not available on Sunday.

A pochi km si possono raggiungere: la Garfagnana, il caratteristico paese di Barga, casa Pascoli, la Grotta del Vento, il Canyon Park, la cittadina di Lucca. L'appartamento è ubicato a 50 m dalla stazione ferroviaria. Sono presenti nei dintorni: un bar, una lavanderia, una farmacia, un'estetista, una parrucchiera e una pizzeria ristorante.

La Casina

Simpatica casetta con giardino a due passi dal centro storico. All'esterno del monolocale un grande giardino dove riposarsi comodamente dopo aver goduto degli splendidi paesaggi della Garfagnana e della Valle del Serchio. Ottima base di partenza per escursioni sulla Alpi Apuane e sull'Appennino Tosco-Emiliano e per visitare Lucca distante 40 minuti in auto, Pisa un'ora, Firenze un'ora e mezza, la costa della Versilia un'ora.

A fresh organic breakfast tasted in a wide, quiet, private garden, while enjoying the scenery of the Pizzorne mountain woods. Feeling the warm typical Toscana “cotto” tiles inside, preparing a “fiorentina” steak in the barbecue outside and relaxing on the beach chairs after a solar shower and swimming in the wide pool.
