Flea markets are magical places. You never know what you’ll find—but you always find something. Join a vintage store owner for an adventure at Prague’s largest flea market. • We’ll meet up at the U Elektry market and wander through its 200 stalls. You’ll find clothing, military paraphernalia, antique stamps, and all sorts of one-of-a-kind items. • I’ll help you avoid fakes and bargain with the vendors. Along the way, we’ll stop at the market's food stalls to snack on Czech drinks and food. • After we’ve thoroughly explored the market, we’ll take the tram to Young Dust, my shop, where you can look through the curated collection to see if anything else catches your eye. (You’ll get 10 percent off any purchases.) You’ll see a very different side of Prague at the flea market, get expert help in shopping for vintage finds, and perhaps take home pieces you love.

The Berlin neighborhoods of Kreuzberg and Neukölln are renowned for their multicultural character. Join me for a culinary tour that explores decolonial narratives around food, highlighting the global influences that have shaped African and German cuisines. • Meet at Sahara Imbiss, a beloved Sudanese restaurant, where we’ll start with appetizers and talk about the Arab and British influences on Sudanese cuisine. • Next, we’ll walk to nearby Ethiopian and German restaurants, tasting a few dishes at each place. We’ll discuss the historical ties between Ethiopia and Germany as well as the international origins of favorite German dishes like döner kebab. • We’ll conclude by savoring West African dishes at a fourth restaurant as we reflect on how culinary traditions evolve in a globalized world. Over the course of the afternoon, you’ll sample an array of drinks and vegetarian dishes, and leave with my recommendations for other Berlin restaurants to explore.

Then we’ll warm up and stretch. • Set off on a jog through the city, passing landmarks like the Lesser Town, Jewish Quarter, Old Town Square. Along the way, I’ll share stories from the film sets I’ve worked on over the years. • Wrap up the run at the Charles Bridge, where you’ll have the option to have yourself drawn by a great caricaturist (my dad!) at a discount. Art galleries and architectural tour along Karl-Marx Allee

In this walking tour of East Berlin, we’ll walk along Karl-Marx Allee and learn about the distinct socialist architecture of this boulevard as well as visit several contemporary art galleries, checking out new works from emerging and established artists and speak about the history and present of Berlin as a hotbed of creativity. • We’ll meet up at the ecclectic Café Tasso to talk about how artists have shaped Berlin since the reunification of Germany in the early 1990s and about the city’s diverse art scene. We will also talk a look at the vast collection of second-hand books in the basement of the café. • Then we’ll make our way along Karl-Marx Allee. Along the way we´ll visit several galleries, such as Galerie im Turm, NBB, Capitain Petzel and others, to tour their current exhibits and, occasionally, speak to curators I know. • As we walk down the street, we’ll discuss the artworks we have seen. I’ll also point out some of the most notable buildings around us and intricate details of them, which reflect the Stalinist “wedding cake” style of architecture that makes this street unique. • The tour concludes at the Café Moskau, another iconic building of the post-war era of eastern Berlin. The tour is a great way to explore the Friedrichshain district of Berlin and get an insider’s view of the city’s vibrant contemporary art scene.

Actually, think of this as the Politically incorrect tour of Berlin, so feel free to bring along your favorite rude jokes when joining us. It will be full of bad language and bad taste jokes-while paying respect where it is due. No snowflakes allowed! Our exploration will involve memorials, monuments and graves, along with churches and parks. We will discuss a mix of history, current events, local cuisine, the best spots for a cold German beer by the city center of Berlin. Be prepared to be socially active. Other things to note The tour is meant for adults, 18 or older. Each guide will be identified with a small yellow flag and our name!

Then we'll give you a tour of our bird shelter, during which you'll get familiar with all our birds and owls, and the way our breeding center operates to save various endangered species. And finally—the hands-on part of the experience! We will let our well-trained birds of prey fly free and you will participate in feeding them. Our bald eagle Helen, vulture Omar, a group of Harris hawks and others will fly just above your heads, and they will land on your arm protected by a special leather glove. We will finish off by showcasing the training of the fastest animal on the planet, a falcon. ❄️☀️ This is a year-round, all-weather event. Even though it takes place mostly in the open air, we've got you covered: a heated garden house & several outdoor heaters are at our guests' disposal during the cold days and we're well equipped for the rainy weather as well. And a fun fact—birds of prey do not appreciate the summer temperatures as much as us, humans, and tend to fly a bit better during autumn/winter.

Next to the Astronomical clock, you will meet your guide in a stylish historical costume, who will lead you into Old Town’s darkening alleys. There, you will be shown locations of dreadful discoveries, medieval graveyards, ancient churches and hospitals, as well as other places of Prague associated with the undead, demons and strange apparitions. The stories about them shaped the city’s self-perception for centuries! Through the lightly theatrical storytelling, you will familiarize yourself with the authentic creepy lore of the locals, but also learn a lot about the city’s past, as your guide will put the tales into historical context that further expands your understanding of Prague and its horrorful side. The tour makes stops at a handful of famous Prague landmarks (see under “Where you’ll be”) but also leads through picturesque areas off the beaten path with hidden gems. In 90 minutes, you'll be back at the starting point, where you will receive further tips for the evening and sightseeing suggestions inspired by the experience. * If the tour seems sold out, scroll down and "contact host", we have always more. I would like to invite you for a 2.5 hour workshop, to paint together, to discuss art and music, and to get acquainted with Berlin’s unique Techno scene. This workshop is meant for you to express your creativity. You won’t need to buy materials and you don’t need to have prior painting experience. You just need to show up and enjoy the process. In the end you will have a beautiful work of art (acrylic on canvas), made by you, ready to be hung on your walls. How it goes: First we will explore the creative process, and decide on the color palette for each person. Then we will absorb ourselves in the music and learn how to translate its energy into painting. You will be personally instructed in the unique technique and the use of colors. We will begin to work in layers of color. You will be immersed in the creative process, forgetting your everyday life and expressing your inner playfulness. We will take one break to dry the layers, discuss the process, evaluate the outcome so far and decide how to proceed. During the break drinks will be served. While we're painting I will gladly share the "secrets" of Berlin's club culture. Discussing the dress codes and door policies of the major clubs, where I party every weekend.
