The lake is home to eagles, herons, geese, ospreys and fish! You will see kayakers out there fishing! Stowe Mt and Smuggler’s Notch are both nearby. Breweries, art galleries, restaurants are close by. You can walk or bike to the 93 mile Lamoille Valley Rail Trail from our home. Our shed is available for storing your bikes, kayaks or skis.

Dog Friendly Cabin Near Smuggs

Always wanted to experience a real Vermont log cabin? This classic Vermont cabin near Smugglers’ Notch is ideal for skiers, hikers, and outdoor lovers. Enjoy the warmth of a gas fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, and an in-unit washer/dryer. Your furry companion is welcome. A comfortable, well-equipped basecamp with Wi-Fi for authentic Vermont adventures. In winter, the direct route over the mountain between the log cabin and Stowe is closed. The drive around is approx. 50 minutes.

This is a spacious self contained unit with its own entrance in a beautiful VT lodge right next to Smugglers' Notch Resort. Enjoy air conditioning, a gas fireplace & a large private deck w grill. Many things to do nearby all seasons. Minutes from hiking "The Notch" and the Long Trail. 15-20 minutes to dining in Stowe in the summer and fall seasons. In the winter months you will need to take a 50 min detour around the mountain to Stowe. Enjoy cooking in a warm, well appointed kitchen.

On 14 acres with a brook, it’s a short walk down a dirt road to a historic covered bridge and town common. Fall colors are breathtaking when taken in from the barn deck, while Spring and Summer visitors enjoy free concerts on the town green on Sundays. Set on bucolic backroads, looking out towards Stowe, the little Farmhouse is a Vermont country paradise. Starting in 2026, we will be building a home adjacent to the farmhouse.
