Lovely cottage near Stonehenge

Sherrington Stables is on the edge of the enchanting hamlet of Sherrington with its picturesque watercress beds in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is a delightful, well equipped, single storey cottage which makes a charming and relaxing retreat. There is one bedroom with a queen size (5 foot) bed and the living room has an imported American (Castro Convertibles) queen size sofa bed. Ideally suited for a couple, or a couple with two children, or two couples as long as one couple are happy with the sofa bed. Peacefully set in the grounds of the owner's three hundred year old thatched farmhouse, it has wonderful walks right from the door.

Beautifully furnished, romantic and spacious, in gorgeous peaceful countryside, the thick stone walls make it warm and cosy in winter, cool in summer as well as quiet and private. Upstairs there is a very comfortable super kingsize bed, a rolltop bath, a huge velvet sofa and a 50" TV. Downstairs is a shower room, kitchen and large dining area. Relaxed, gorgeous, converted barn with vaulted & beamed, open-plan sitting-dining room & kitchen. 2 en-suite bedrooms. Please note: Master bedroom can have a superking bed OR 2 twin beds, not both as the Airbnb title can be a bit misleading! There are a further 2 single beds in the second bedroom. In the sitting room there is a king-size sofabed for 2 people. Salisbury, Stonehenge, Bath Shaftesbury. Walks, views, cycling, history, meditation, foodie pubs. Space to stretch out, lovely views.

Little Coombe

Little Coombe welcomes all couples, lone travellers and fellow pooches. Little Coombe is a totally self-contained cottage attached to the main cottage, where the owner lives. It is a tranquil stone cottage sitting by the brook in a small hamlet near Shaftesbury. The cottage was formerly two thatched farm cottages and where our family has lived for nearly 100 years! We live next door in the main cottage, but guests will have their own entrance and garden space and their privacy is guaranteed.

The Waggon at Westcombe

Our cosy waggon overlooks its own private valley, complete with 19th Century coachbridge and secluded wild swimming spot. Set in 25 acres of woodland and pasture, our waggon offers an opportunity to switch off, curl up with a book and get back to nature. It includes an ensuite with shower and its own kitchen.. Only 10 minutes away from Bruton, handy for The Newt and Hauser & Wirth. Westcombe Dairy & Woodsheddings Brewery taproom is a 3 minute walk and the Three Horseshoes a 20 minute stroll.

Down a little no through lane this self contained annexe to our house is on the Monarch's Way in a quiet, rural position just 3 miles from the cathedral city of Salisbury. The River Bourne runs close by. The ground floor annexe has a modern but peaceful bedroom with en-suite shower, separate kitchen/living area with double doors on to the patio & a sitting room with sofa bed. Parking for one or two cars. Convenient for anyone working at Porton Down & is 10 minutes from Salisbury by car.

Fab Loft, walks, pubs in West Wiltshire Nr Tisbury

A modernised 1 bedroomed annex located in the beautiful village of Teffont, close to Tisbury, Salisbury and Stonehenge. 5 mins drive from the A303 giving easy access to London or the West. There are many points of interest nearby, some fabulous pubs and great walks. Our loft is completely self contained with everything you need for a cosy time away from home. We do welcome small/medium sized, well behaved dogs but request that they are kept off the furniture. We charge £15/dog/night.

Great for a couple wanting to get away for a short break in the countryside and ideal for visiting Stonehenge 15 mins. by car, Bath 50mins. and Salisbury 25 mins. A good stop over point for cyclists on the King Alfred’s way route. The friendly village of Tilshead is located at the heart of Salisbury Plain. Excellent Italian food available at the Rose and Crown Pub 50 yards walk away.
