The design is modern with natural warm colors and tucked away in the trees. The loudest noise you will hear are the owls hooting and a faint distant train whistle two times a day. This newly built modern rustic mother-in-law private cottage offers a convenient place to stay while exploring the Burlington/Winooski area. The cottage is nestled in my backyard on a quiet street in vibrant Winooski. The home is a 10 minute drive to downtown Burlington & the airport, and a short walk to the river, several cafes, restaurants, pubs, nature areas, and a brewery. Winooski is referred to as “the Brooklyn of Burlington” because of the foodie scene and rich cultural diversity.

On 14 acres with a brook, it’s a short walk down a dirt road to a historic covered bridge and town common. We take pride in our Cabins and want you to enjoy all that Vermont has to offer while relaxing and taking in the tranquility of this property. * 10 minutes from Smugglers Notch Ski Resort (Stowe is 50 minutes away in winter) *our property allows for walking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and a playground. * 3 cottages on the property it is perfect for families to rent all 3 for reunions or weddings. **nightly rate is based on 4 people each additional person is $25

Easy access to VAST snowmobile trails, within an hour's drive to 3 ski areas (Stowe, Smuggler's Notch and Jay Peak), X-Country skiing right outside the door or in Craftsbury or Stowe. Elmore State Park is 3 miles away. Hiking trails and kayaking abound!

Portable infrared sauna in winter months. 9 miles to Burlington and 5 mins to shops & restaurants. We are in a part of Essex that is rural (the village, Essex Junction is more of a city.)
