Great base for hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, fall sand sculptures, leaf peeping, skiing, ice skating, snowshoeing, biking and nearby ice castles.

Fayrie Ridge Cottage

Fayrie Ridge Cottage is close to climbing in Rumney, Canaan Motor Club (a five minute drive,) and Green Woodlands, known for hiking/biking in summer and cross country skiing in winter. The cottage sits on a property with great views and friendly hosts. The fully equipped kitchen, large bath, queen-sized and bunkbeds, and comfortable living area with many DVD movies make your stay the best. Renovations continue. Internet is now thru cable, so there is WiFi, but the cell tower hasn't gone up.

The Back 80 Yurt

Is a spacious 24 foot Yurt next to Mt Cardigan state park. From the Yurt you can hike ,snow shoe or backcountry ski on miles of well marked AMC trails , as well as climb Firescrew and Mt Cardigan. This is the only off-grid Yurt acessable to the AMC state park. This is not a drive up, in the winter prepare to hike 1 mile, and in the summer 300 yards up a windy forest path. The Yurt has everything you will want from a wood stove , cook stoves. We have raised the price for plowing cost

Three miles from the quaint New England Village of Hebron our Country Home offers our guests beauty and privacy. During the summer and fall the mountain views are gorgeous from the stone patio garden courtyard entrance. With a spacious 1500 square ft. accommodations you have a comfortable 2-br suite.
