Cozy, 12 x12’ sleeping cabin on three acre property in the Ohia forest in Mountain View. Situated four miles off Hwy 11 between Hilo and Volcano National Park, come try off-grid living in a private setting. Fully equipped with solar lighting, propane on-demand hot water and great wireless internet. The 1400’ elevation makes for cool evenings and comfortable sleeping. The shared kitchen and full bath are located just steps away in a separate building. Kitchen has a gas stove and full sized refrigerator. Laundry facilities are located here as well and free to use. Rural location provides privacy and quiet. Volcano National Park is 20 minutes away, Hilo 25. Keau’u is less than 10 miles and offers gas, groceries, post office, urgent care and limited fast food.

We are located between two of the Big Islands most iconic areas; Hawaii Volcano National Park and Hilo's beaches, approximately both a 20-minute drive from the studio. Our piece of paradise is across the street from Volcanoes National Park with the park entrance less than a mile away. When Kīlauea volcano is erupting, (it is currently active as of January 2023) you can see the red glow of the plume from the b&b. Your private cottage is situated on my large property surrounded by lush tropical plants and my tea garden.
