Our Curious | Opossum Hollow

Welcome to Opossum Hollow in the quaint mountain town of Travelers Rest! Our partially restored 1984 Airstream Excella, lovingly referred to as `Possum Holler', is situated on the same property as our home. With a covered space for parking and a 35 foot skylight deck, this outdoor space is designed for cool evening lounging and warm afternoon napping. We worked with a number of local artisans to design and create the entire space, ensuring most every element is handmade, upcycled, and recycled!

The house is walking distance to Penny Cup Coffee and Creekside Taphouse, two local favorites. Large trees and wildlife abound in the backyard and can be viewed through the bedroom windows or from the brand new back porch. Inside, the tiny home has a modern yet rustic feel. You will find everything you need, and your host lives on the property and is just a text away.

A rustic industrial style Lake Keowee lakefront escape that places you right on a panoramic point in a private cove. Welcome the outdoors in with the 6ft kitchen hinge bar window to the upper deck or enjoy the 6-seat hot tub on lower deck. Deep water dock tie off space is available. Guests enjoy the use of 2 standup paddle boards, and lakeside fire pit (guest provide firewood). Great cove sunsets! 15 minutes to Clemson and 1 min Lighthouse Restaurant. It's priced for budget minded people, and it's on a busy street with street noises, so please keep your expectations reasonable. This isn't a luxury silent mountain getaway. It's in a little fenced-in area w/ yard, grill and firepit. Less than a mile to downtown, or the Arts District. Coffee, food, grocery, and parks all close by.

It's within 15 minutes of all the mountain biking and hiking DuPont State Forest has to offer and about a 15 minute-ish drive to Pisgah National Forest . After a day of adventures come home to enjoy some time on the back deck (it feels like you're in a treehouse) listening to the birds while the sun sets.

Also, if the foothills of upstate SC are not tall enough for you, the nationally recognized outdoor spaces of WNC are about 1 hr away.

Conveniently located in North Asheville, it’s less than ten minutes from downtown, within walking distance to UNCA and central to many breweries and restaurants. This second floor apartment boasts light filled rooms and a tasteful, calming atmosphere. All are welcome:)
