Crisp white sheets, craftsman furniture, and painted wooden cladding make for a sophisticated yet rustic haven. The main room is cozy with a big skylight, comfortable queen bed, swivel chair, and desk and chair. There is a small kitchenette. If over 6 ft. tall, this might not be for you (low ceiling). If you want peace & quiet surrounded by a beautiful garden this is for you!

Berkeley Hills Maybeck Cottage

Built in 1925, Maybecks' “Cubby” is your private, rustic, 750 sq ft, carriage house located less than a mile from Cal. Homey and basic - the deck is great for lunch, dinner, or just hanging out. It's an easy walk down to the gourmet ghetto, Thursday Markets, buses and BART. Carport provided, a car is recommended (hey it's located in the hills.) Not baby proofed, minimal fencing - sorry, no pets, babies or toddlers. Smoke free, no butts about it. Sorry, no loud music, or large gatherings.

Peaceful Garden Oasis

Slip into the backyard on our quiet street to find a vibrant garden beside a cozy Moroccan-inspired studio. Listen to the birds from the bedroom window and depending on the season, you may smell magnolia, jasmin or lemon verbana. There's a small bathroom with a shower, and some basic kitchen amenities--coffee maker (French press and drip), microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge. Please note: there is no formal kitchen to cook.

Cozy Berkeley Cottage with Quiet Patio

You need have no contact with owners. Completely separate building with own entrance & no contact on arrival or departure. Lovely sunny room opening to a serene and private patio for outdoor relaxing. In a quiet but vibrant community. Walk to or take public transportation to UC campus, Downtown Berkeley, Ashby BART Station (easy 20 minute walk), the famous Berkeley Bowl grocery store (15 minute walk), and much more.

There is a patio deck with table and chairs to enjoy meals outdoors. Previously an art studio, now a simple detached cottage at the entrance of our property.
