The Tranquil Treehouse is the perfect place to unplug, relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature by the lake! The large deck is a great place to read a book, grill out or enjoy a morning cup of coffee! Even rainy days are peaceful at the treehouse due to the natural lullaby of the rain on the red tin roof. The lake is only 150 yards from the house. We have 2 kayaks for guests on carts for the short walk to the shore. Come soak up the sun in the crystal clear water this lake is famous for!

Our cottage is small, cozy, and very relaxing. Whether you are kicking back watching the tube or paddling around the pond you will feel right at home and may not want to leave. BREEZE Treehouse, at The Appleton Retreat is located on 120 acres of private land, bordered by 1,300 acres of a protected nature conservancy. To the south is the Pettengill Stream a resource protected area and to the north a large secluded pond. BREEZE does not have a hot tub but guests may reserve the sauna, which is close by and private. The Appleton Retreat is less than a 30 minute drive to Belfast, Rockport, Camden and Rockland, charming downeast seaside towns.
