The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. Need a quiet get-away? You've got the it!!! Enjoy the deck, HOT TUB, gorgeous mountain view and lovely night music. This home has a living room, furnished kitchen, bathroom, & bedroom with a queen bed on the main floor, 2 loft floor mattresses; basement has a full bed and bathroom. A gas grill and fire ring are provided. You will have Wifi, Roku TV screens, puzzles, card games, and corn hole. The Blue Ridge Parkway is nearby. This cabin is 15 min from the AT at mile marker 809.1.

Black Water Junction Cabin

Our cabin is built out of old wood and doors found on the farm. Because I am such a cold natured person, I installed heated floors and a heated towel bar in addition to the mini-split and electric fireplace! The cabin is surrounded by pastures that are the home to our cows, horses, goats, pot belly pig, and chickens. The highlight of a stay at BWJ Cabin would be to sit on the front porch in a rocking chair, day bed swing or hot tub looking out over the landscape and do nothing.

Beautiful, spacious, private backyard with porch swing, tree swing, and outdoor lighting. Includes kitchenette with fridge/freezer, Keurig, microwave, toaster, small convection oven (big enough to cook a frozen pizza), as well as a small supply of snacks/breakfast items. Gorgeous tile bathroom renovated in June of 2026 with large walk in shower. Couch and loveseat for relaxing. Hulu and Netflix included, as well as board/card games. Includes desk area for studying/working.
