These hot springs are our favorite. They are approximately 1.5 hours into the Jemez Mountains, and require a 5 mile hike between January 1-Memorial Day weekend every year. The rest of the year, you can drive up less than 1 mile and park. The springs run directly out of the mountain.

One of the most scenic and serene hot springs we’ve ever been to. Multi-level pools with the hot springs cascading down via mini-falls, all set on a mountain side. Get there early to beat the crowds. Short but steep hike to the springs when the dirt road is open, July 1-Nov(ish). Otherwise it’s a 5 mile hike, one way.
