Part of Bogor Forestry Institute research center, house huge old trees, adjacent to the Bogor Presidential Palace, and only 1 train ride from Pondok Jati Train station. Very easy to reach, cheap, and very nice. Beware that Bogor is a city where it rains 300 days in a year, hence "Bogor the Rain City".

The biggest botanical garden. See the heritage of Buitenzorg (old name of Bogor city). Take a train from Palmerah station (5 minute walking), transit in Tanah Abang then take to Bogor (45 min journey)

Nice place to spend the afternoon or morning if you like walking in a park with big trees that are over 100 years old. Keep an eye on trees that may fall without warning.
