Burgh Island is a famous upmarket hotel, which many a famous person has stayed or visited over the year. If the tide is out you can walk across the beach to get to it, but if the tide is in, you have to take the sea tractor. Afternoon tea is fabulous but not cheap.

Nice walk from Bigbury to the Summit and stop for a beer in the Pilchard on your way back

An iconic place with a large busy beach. There is a specially adapted tractor that takes you to the island when the tide is in. The Pilchard Inn is a 14th century pub. Agatha Christie wrote two novels based on the island and the Art Deco hotel.
