The historic harbor of Kyrenia is a host for variety of bars, restaurants and cafes famous for their food and drinks well as the magnificent Kyrenia Castle. The best place to enjoy day in day out from breakfast to dinner not to forget the rich boat excursions departing from this harbor
A breathtaking drive along the rugged mountainous coastal road takes you to the old harbour at Kyrenia which is a lovely romantic place to have a wander and sit under the shade, sip a cold beer and watch the boats and people passing by.
kyrenia fishing harbor is a local attraction. With its old authentic settings embraced by the Kyrenia Castle is it definitely worth a trip. Highly recommend going into the castle. Plenty of restaurants. Very touristic.

“The Saint Hilarion Castle lies on the Kyrenia mountain range, in Cyprus. This location provided the castle with command of the pass road from Kyrenia to Nicosia. It is the best preserved ruin of the three former strongholds in the Kyrenia mountains, the others being Kantara and Buffavento. “Lovely sandy beach where turtles come to lay their eggs. Lovely to swim at and there were rare sea lilies - well worth visiting and spending time there. We found the best time was late afternoon or early evening. Beach generally is closed after 8 pm to protect the turtles. ”
