Explore Boston's historic Freedom Trail, which is a 2.5-mile long path that takes you through the heart of downtown Boston. Along the path, there will be famous landmarks scattered along the way including cemeteries, churches, & museums. If you're a first-time visitor to Boston, then this is a must-visit attraction! There is an optional group tour that allows you to learn the turbulent history of New England along with the opportunity to take breath-taking photos of the city. I personally recommend that you and your travel companions should walk the trail without the tour so that you can walk it at your own pace, check out the different sites and take breaks at the various restaurants or make a classic "Dunkin Donut's run" (a New England favorite) during your journey. Either way, this option is highly recommended and worth seeing!

"FREEDOM TRAIL" For a sampler of Boston's revolutionary sights, follow the red-brick road. It leads 2.5 miles through the center of Boston, from Boston Common to the Bunker Hill Monument, and traces the events leading up to and following the War for Independence. The Freedom Trail is well marked and easy to follow on your own. Otherwise, there are plenty of tours that follow this trail, including the National Park Service's free option."
