This is your go to day trip beach spot, it is a bit of a walk down (about 2km) so bring a drink and some food (or even better a full day pack to spend the day down there), but the views from the walk are worth it! Pro tip, look up the tides and try and go on low tide to explore the rock pools at the far end of the beach from where the track spits you out.

A walk through bush until you come out onto the beach - a stream also exits to the ocean here. You can also access it by walking the path from Cape Schanck. If you choose to walk in from the Flinders Road, be very careful as the parking is a bit haphazard and passing cars are dangerous

From Boneo Road, it's about 1.5 hour walk to the beach, but you usually see kangaroos on the way and it's relatively flat. Bushrangers bay is beautiful, and if it's low tide the adventurous can climb elephant rock at the far end of the beach (follow others who are heading up). Only at low tide, though!! Also has great rock pools at low tide, but large waves can make the area treacherous so take care.
