Buena comida en restaurante agradable. This is a rather up-scale, more expensive restaurant on Calle Mercaderes in Havana Vieja. The food is quite delicious. The owner bought the building and lived in the restaurant before deciding to turn it into a restaurant.

In Old Havana, the paladar Los Mercaderes combines an atmosphere of a typical colonial house of the nineteenth century with its stained glass, murals, original floors of the time, with an excellent variety of dishes ranging from traditional to international standing out for its fresh products of the sea.

It's not on the cheap side... but the food is finger-licking delicious!!! Inspired by Cuban and Mediterranean flavours. Their fig and truffle risotto is superb.

"Los Mercaderes" paladar, combines the atmosphere of a tipical colonial house (the tainted glasses, mural paintings and original XIX century floors) with an excelent variety of plates coming from traditional to international with a special emphasis on fresh seafood.
