Good for bad weather. Hans Peter Porsche, the grandson of the legendary Porsche inventor Ferdinand Porsche, has built a monument to himself and at the same time fulfilled a lifelong dream. He wanted to exhibit his toy collection and built his own museum for it. It is called Traumwerk and is located in the small community of Anger in the Berchtesgadener Land region, just outside Salzburg. The Traumwerk is an extensive toy collection: on about 25,500 square metres of floor space, there are stuffed animals, tin toys and the history of toys. Of particular interest to children is the centrepiece of the Traumwerk: a huge model railway world - modelled on the Hamburg railway wonderland. And there's also a huge playground at the Traumwerk. About 16 kilometres away, car required. A great breakfast (lunch) is also served here with a view of the playground with a small train.
