Drive to Piglionico (15min) and park there. Follow the signs to "Pania della Croce" and "Rifugio Rossi". Beautiful walk. You can either stop at the "rifugio" for lunch/glass of wine (only on weekends in winter time, otherwise always open during summer) or reach the top with amazing 360' views. TIP: dogs are fine only up to the "rifugio", after that I wouldn't recommend.

The Queen of Apuan Alps. The main footpath start just 1 h drive from il Palazzaccio. Only for expert mountaineers!
