Ullswater is our nearest lake, only 5 miles drive away. Great trail up to spectacular Aira Force waterfalls and views over Ullswater, National Trust tea room.

The most famous of the Lake District waterfalls, Aira Force drops an impressive 65 feet and is surrounded by pretty woodland. This easy 2 hour walk can be extended to High Force beyond or Gowbarrow fell.

Aira Force waterfall on the shores of Ullswater belongs to the National Trust , a bit of a honeypot in the Summer , there are well maintained paths up through the woods from the large car park and views over the lake plus a tea room .
