This is a most magical place! From an overgrown knife valley to a place of calm respite by the love and dedication of a small group of people. Hundreds of tropical specimens to view and photograph. The deep valley has been equipped with a boardwalk that makes it very accessible. Do not miss this gorgeous spot, and take a picnic to eat at the bottom of the valley before you return.

I could get lost in this botanical garden for HOURS! Not only does this place feature hundreds of species of tropical plants, but the ocean view will leave you speechless. This is my favorite place to bring family and friends who visit us. It is also close to some amazing waterfalls, so plan to make a whole day of it! Akaka Falls & Rainbow Falls are great stops to make along the way.

Tropical garden with ocean views. What could be better? It is a bit of a drive but well worth the trip to see the many ecosystems of the Big Island.
