The Tree Cabin

The heated tree cabin is set within a small secluded wood up a steep path. Cedar lined, insulated and oak clad it cantilevers out over a remote mill pond. Wake up in a tranquil heaven only shared with shy wildlife, including deer, hare, the odd badger and a variety of birds. In the cabin are a king-size plus bed, table and chairs, kitchen area with induction plate, microwave oven & toaster. Your own smaller tree cabin, a few trees away, houses a flushing toilet and hand basin with spring water.

Patio is a stunning sun trap with views of the river Sett and village of Hayfield. Enjoy a morning coffee or an evening wine relaxing on the patio watching the ducks float across the river or a cosy evening in front of the living room log burner. We are a short walk from the town centre where there are independent shops and great cafes and for the cyclists we are on National Cycle Route 66. It is ridiculously close to the railway station (2 minutes) and got bus links to Halifax and Haworth. Perfect for holidays, cycling or walking breaks.

Located right on the water's edge of Rudyard Lake in a conservation area of the Staffordshire Moorlands, this bespoke boathouse conversion is an ideal romantic break for 2 in a very beautiful, quiet setting surrounded by woodland with perfect views up and down the lake. Although we can accommodate 4 in total, Inglenook boathouse is most suited for couples. The sofa bed is comfortable for up to two children but not suitable for two adults.
