The property is situated on 2.49 hectares on land that was mined during the Gold rush era of the 1850’s. Wee Varrich is a fully self-contained cottage adjacent to the main house and secluded by plantings.

The Mine Managers Suite at Avalon House has some of the original timber wall panelling dating back to 1889 giving it old word charm whilst upgraded modern amenities make it a warm and comfortable private apartment for two. This was the residence of Thomas Davey who managed the Harrietville Gold Company till the great depression in the 20’s. With a private pet friendly courtyard, it is in the centre of town walking distance to Cafes, Parks, Rivers, Pubs and all Harrietville has to offer.
