The cottage is peaceful, but only a minute's walk from the action of Newtown and its restaurants, bars, cafes and shopping. The modern artwork and artefacts reflect the creative nature of the area.

It is close to cafes, one within a 500m walk. Normanhurst Train station is 4 min by car and a 15min walk. Westfield Hornsby can be reached by train or car.

Cicada Glen Cottage is a beautiful, unique place to stay. The cottage is situated at the rear of a semi rural property that is home to a native nursery and bush regeneration business. It is an 8 minute drive to Mona Vale and the beach. The cottage was built in the 1920s with many of the original features retained giving it a very quirky character. Unfortunately the cottage isn't suitable for children under 12 yrs due to the water features and vintage glass used in the original windows.
