I have a 20' bass boat that I navigate in and out of the canal easily(use of trolling motor on the short private canal is recommended).

We do have a small gas motor you can rent for the canoe allowing you to truly explore the lakes. Bring your boat! We have a community boat ramp one street over. Only minutes to downtown Inverness! Relax in a clean, welcoming, home that has been updated. There are 2 fishing poles available for your use. We make sure they are in working condition and well maintained. Shopping, restaurants, and entertainment is close by. Want a beach....35 minute ride to Fort Island Trail Beach and boat ramp. We do allow hypoallergenic small dogs (2 max), non-shedding, 25 lbs. or less, each w/ proof of shot records, please bring a kennel with you. There is a non refundable $25.00 per dog fee.

Honeydew Point lake house is a secluded "Old Florida" vintage get away on the Nature Coast. We are tucked away in a semi secluded area on a private dead end street. The house overlooks a beautiful, quiet cove on a canal that leads to big Lake Henderson. There is a private dock for fishing & relaxing. We are away from the hustle of the big lake and the city, but it's just around the corner if you want it! Honeydew is a very short drive by boat or car to Historic downtown Inverness.

Handicap accessible. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. On a dead end street on a channel that goes out to some lakes in the area. Have a canoe,peddle boat and three bikes included to use during your stay. Little over an hour from Orlando Airport and about the same from Tampa Airport. 30 minute drive to Homosassa Springs that has many attractions. If you see any alligators please do not feed them. They become a nuisance and it’s also against the law.
