Outside, the verandah beckons with a braai and wood-fired hot tub, where you can unwind and solve the problems of the world while sipping on a sundowner and soaking in the breathtaking views.

Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. Very peaceful and relaxing with plenty of bird and marine life at your doorstep. A paddle in our double seated kayak is a must when the tide and weather conditions permit. Paddle a short distance across to the island or to the mouth of the lagoon and enjoy a picnic under one of our sun umbrellas. Have a dip in the mix of the fresh lagoon water and the Atlantic Ocean. In certain months of the year enjoy windsurfing at our door step too

Hermanus CBD (approx 6km). MAIN FOCUS IS OUTDOOR SPACE. PS the lagoon sometimes undergoes an ecological change, mother nature busy with a natural fermentation process.

Middlevlei Reserve is one of the best-kept secrets in the Overberg. Just 15 min. from Hermanus and a 1.5-hour drive from Cape Town lies Meerenbosch, one of three unique areas within the reserve. The cabin is situated right on the edge of the Bot River lagoon. Has a big garden and the views are fantastic! Within walking distance of the beach and close to communal pool and tennis courts. Cozy 2 bedroomed double-storey log cabin, with two bathrooms. Queen size bed, double bed and single bed on the mezzanine. The wild horses often graze in front of the cabin and at times there are hundreds of terns and flamingos! Fully equipped for self-catering.

The Barn-styled Pod offers an elegant yet comfortable escape, ideal for families seeking a touch of luxury in a tranquil farm setting. The pod features two beautifully designed en-suite bedrooms and comfortably sleeps up to four guests.
