Ultimate in privacy, yet two minutes from downtown Frankfort! This cabin-style home (think Gatlinburg!) sits on three wooded acres. Long, rambling decks on three sides (one covered, one fully screened, one open air). Our adjacent farm surrounds the property, making it even more private. This home sits high on a bluff above downtown Frankfort & the Kentucky River (our farm borders on the river). Just three miles to Buffalo Trace Distillery (if you could fly, it's way closer than that!)

Bourbon Trail: Caboose on the Farm

Nestled under the shadows of trees on a working cattle farm, The Southern x525 Caboose is now resting in the heart of the Bourbon Trail. Maintaining the industrial feel of an authentic caboose, while bringing in the warmth of handcrafted woodwork design, the Caboose on the Farm creates a unique experience like no other! Queen bed, twin bunkbeds, full bath, kitchenette. Beautiful outdoor pavilion with grill and fire pit. Working cattle farm, see cattle, goats, a donkey, a horse, and a pig!

Buffalo Springs Distilling Company

It’s recently been brought to our attention about Airbnb scams! Please reserve with us or someone else that has a history! The Bourbon Trail The Buffalo Springs Distilling Company got it's start in 1868. It closed and it's warehouses were emptied out by the 1970's. This building is one of the last structures left on the site. This historic building was the main office and gatehouse for visitors to the distillery, so we can offer one Queen sized bedroom due to the size of the structure.

No neighbors! It’s not a big or fancy place but it’s clean, simple, and relaxing. The stars are brightest in the country when enjoying the fire pit. Our two story cabin has 1BR with two double beds, full kitchen, full bathroom, recliners, and grills. It's perfect for couples, friends, or small families. The Ark Encounter, Kentucky Horse Park, Keeneland, and several distilleries are all within an hour of the cabin. This is a great place to relax between visits to these attractions.

Views from every window capture the beauty of the bluegrass. Conveniently located only 10 miles from the Ky Horse Park, 5 mi from the quaint historic town of Georgetown, and 30 minutes from some of Kentucky’s greatest bourbon distilleries. For wildcat fans, Rupp Arena is only 15 minutes away.

Easy access to I-64, I-75, and Mountain Parkway - gateway to Appalachia.

Whether you are in town for a bourbon tour or two, to visit your kids at college, or a stroll along horse country, Central Kentucky does not disappoint! Located on Elkhorn creek, enjoy fishing and wildlife with creek side living. Across the creek there is a walking trail that leads to a dog park. Watch kayakers and boaters launch across the creek from you, or bring your own and join in!

The Cute Little House Near The Ark Encounter

The "Little House" is a cute 1 bedroom house located on our farm in a beautiful country setting with 6 acres of outdoor space for relaxing. It is separate from our home and is all yours. It is conveniently located only 8 miles from the Ark Encounter and you only need to make one turn to get there. We have chickens, ducks, turkeys, a horse, and 11 goats. We also have a 1/2 mile nature trail to explore with a scavenger hunt, and a campfire spot with free firewood.

If you’re into Bourbon tours, Horses, canoeing/kayaking/fishing, or Natural and Historical sites, this place is a great location in the middle of a lot to see and do! The tiny house has a small kitchen and bath as well as a yard and private patio and grill to enjoy!

Great Crossings Goat Farm & Apiary

Our solar farm lies in the heart of the bluegrass! We live near: Old Friends Farm, the KY Horse Park, and 35 minutes from UK, Keeneland, The Ark, and 5 distilleries. We live on a small 6 acre farm with cows, sheep, goats, & chickens. Drop by the barn and meet & feed the sheep and goats! You also can watch a movie with them with the little "theater" in the barn. Our house is pretty much a duplex--two houses under one roof, both separate.
