Hancock, Frenchman's Bay Cottage

Frenchmans Bay is just outside your window. With spectacular 180 degree views of Frenchman's Bay and Mt. Desert Island, it is the perfect spot to enjoy the best of Maine. Located in the famous community of Hancock Point, it offers easy access to Acadia National Park and other attractions, in a peaceful, quiet and beautiful setting. Go hiking, biking, sailing, kayaking or just sit and watch the ever-changing view from the picture windows. This cottage has an open living/dining/kitchen area. Two large sliding glass doors look out onto the water. The kitchen has a full-sized refrigerator, stove with microwave oven, kuerig, double sink, and ample counter space. There are plenty of pots and pans, kitchen gadgets, glassware, silverware, cutlery and dinnerware, gas grill.The master bedroom has a comfortable king sized bed, ample closet space and a full bathroom with walk-in shower. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds, (day bed with trundle), that are suitable for children or adults. Linens are supplied. NO smoking please. There is a TV with a blu-ray player, no cable and no wifi. If needed, there is a window AC unit. We recently added an outdoor shower with hot water. Because of the rock wall, (10' drop) this cottage may not be suitable for toddlers and younger children. Both our houses are designed in the contemporary style. We used custom made decor and cherry tree furniture. A lot of windows, glass doors, bright and open space are inside the house. It is very quiet outside. You most likely will be alone at the beach. We share the whole sea cove with only one neighboring house. It is a pure paradise if you want to live on the beach on your own and within minutes of driving to the main local attractions. You'll be amazed of our botanical garden and landscape.

Newly Constructed. Old Acadia Ranger Yurt, a 25 ft. Yurt nestled in the pine and maple forest 1/4 mile from Long Pond and Acadia National Park hiking trails. New construction includes a full bath with a large walk-in shower, kitchen with gas stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator, dinette table w/ seating. Bedding includes, 1 Queen sized bed, 1-fold down double couch, Queen bed in loft, and 1 rollaway cot. Towels and bedding provided. Four (4) guests only (no exceptions). Pets are not permitted.

Beautiful hand built cabin, overlooking Cotton Pond. Ten minutes from Camden, the sailing mecca of the east coast. Solar lights, (we are off the grid) gravity fed kitchen water, gas-hot water outdoor shower, outhouse overlooking the forest. Hiking trails everywhere! Swimming across the road on Hobbs Pond. If you book in November, there is a possibility that if it gets cold, you will not have a hot outdoor shower and will use water from a 5 gallon ceramic container for drinking and cooking.
