Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". Our beautiful studio with spacious Hot Tub is close to Edinburgh Airport and only 5 miles from the West End. Perfect for enjoying all that Edinburgh offers, but with the peace and quiet of a rural location. Own transport is recommended but public transport is nearby so leaving the car and hopping a bus/tram into town is easy. Guests staying without own transport are likely best to rely on local taxi services of which there are several including UBER. Plenty countryside walking available also.

Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, within 5 minutes walk to bus routes to the city centre and 10 minutes to the airport bus stop. By car, the city can be reached in 15 minutes. There are beautiful nearby walks down to the Forth River front and beach. The suite is attached to our family home but the connecting door will be kept locked ensuring your privacy.

Our large family home in Blackhall is perfect for visits to Edinburgh and beyond for families and groups. A short journey from the airport or into town with a large outdoor space with all the ‘mod-con’s’ you will find our home a relaxing place to enjoy yourselves. We have four large double bedrooms as well as sofa bed in the snug. A modern kitchen/diner/ sitting room, a kids play area with trampoline a sunny conservatory, large bathroom with bath and shower as well as living level WC.

Ord’s Loft - Old Town Historic Apartment

Ord’s Loft, situated in White Horse Close, is one of the most desirable and unique properties in Edinburgh’s old town. Positioned on the top floor of what was once the White Horse Coaching Inn, built by Laurence Ord in 1624, the loft is entered by the iconic steps seen in so many photos of Edinburgh.
