The Bird's Nest - Cabin by the River

Located on one of the Seven Bends of the Shenandoah River, the Bird’s Nest is a brand new, custom built 800 square foot cabin featuring an open loft with king bed and skylights, steam shower, heated bathroom floor, and gas fireplace. Exterior amenities include a hot tub, gas grill, gas fire pit table, fire pit by the river, and private river access in a peaceful, wooded setting. Kayaks/tubes are available to use to float down the river with the unique ability to park/exit on the hosts’ property.

MountainWaters is a quiet mountain & river front retreat. Wake up & enjoy a coffee while gazing at the stunning mountain, admire the sun glistening on top the Shenandoah River, listen to birds singing. Take a 3-5min. stroll to your private acre of riverfront. Enjoy use of fire pit, kayaks, fishing poles & Adirondack chairs. Grill up dinner & end the night with a dip in the hot tub watching nature's fireworks (fireflies). Hike and explore cool towns Woodstock and Strasburg. Adventure Awaits!

We are taking every precaution possible to ensure the safety of our staff and guests by using CDC approved sanitizers exclusively and we are disinfecting all door handles, switches, remotes, cabinets, appliances etc. Your room is self check-in with private (key code) entrance, full bathroom, refrigerator, microwave oven, dishes, utensils, etc. We are on the property in case you need anything. All Amenities are open and operational at this time.

Experience true lakefront living in this adorable home. Charlottesville & Massanutten Ski Resort are 25 mins. away & Harrisonburg is 30 mins away; golf course is 9 mins. away. This beautifully decorated 2 bed, 1 bath home is perfect to spend a quality vacay all year round. We have everything you need to enjoy the lake including hot tub, canoes, stand up paddle boards, 4 person paddle boat, kayak,, fishing & beach gear. The community has a nice beach w/ pavilion. Your dogs are welcome!

Only a few yards from water’s edge. Onsite walking trails with mountain bikes, canoes, and fishing. Family friendly! Pets welcome with additional $50 fee for the first pet, $25 for an additional pet.
