The Cuckoo's Nest Glamping Huts: Woody

This is one of two glamping huts at The Cuckoo’s Nest. Inspired by traditional Celtic roundhouses these little wooden huts are situated in the beautiful remote crofting township of Locheynort in the Isle of South Uist. Conveniently located approximately a mile from the main road linking the Isles of Eriskay, South Uist, Benbecula and North Uist, the huts offer an idyllic base from which to explore the islands, to pause whist travelling along the Hebridean Way, or to take a relaxing short break.

Mongolian Yurt with Spa on edge of Galloway Forest

Our traditional Mongolian yurt is located on pasture land at our home on the edge of the Galloway Forest, a Dark Sky Park. With sunset views in one direction & the peaks of the Southern Uplands in the other, enjoy the panorama or sit by the River Cree, which crosses our land. Relax in the wood fired hot tub, sauna & plunge pool (extra fee applies). 10 mins from Loch Trool, mountain bike trails, wild swimming spots & hiking routes, guests are perfectly placed to explore this unspoilt region.

20' woodland yurt in Highland glen

Set in our small mixed woodland at West Cottage and Stables in in picturesque Glenlyon, our 20ft yurt offers complete privacy, a choice of two fire pits (one under cover) and amazing views, a wood burning range cooker with an oven, and a double bed – to mention just the essentials. The yurt is lined with wool, and there's a pull out twin bed and a kettle and toaster. There's cold water in the yurt and a full bathroom a short walk up to our house. There's also your own loo right by the yurt.

Glamping at Skye Yurts- Water Yurt

Our Element themed yurts are Glamorous Camping. Heated by a toasty log burner. Communal facilities include shower room, fully equipped kitchen, dining area ,and composting toilet block. This is a good place for couples, solo adventurers, and families. We offer discounts for families travelling with children under 12 years please get in touch for more details. NB if you require additional sets of bedding, e.g 2 beds for 2 guests, we will charge £15 per set to cover the additional laundry.

A cosy, romantic getaway. Unwind by the woodburner, or outside with a bbq or firepit, surrounded by nature and amazing dark skies. The spacious, well-equipped yurt is tucked away in a large private home garden in a beautiful glen, with Scaur Water on the doorstep. The Yurt at Craignee is a snug (but surprisingly spacious), off-grid retreat, with wood burner and garden, surrounded by peace and wildlife. Yurt on boatbuilding croft

Secluded retreat with stunning views. Stay in our beautiful 16' traditional yurt on the edge of an ancient hazel woodland. The yurt has a simple wood burner, a big bed and comfy seating. Guests have use of a kitchen, toilets and showers in the workshop building 100 meters away. We are a small 10 acre croft on the Isle of Mull, with our family home and boatbuilding workshop on site. The yurt sits between woodland and old peat cuttings, with views of Ben Mor, the tallest mountain on Mull.

Mull Yurts - Peace and tranquility!

Staying in a Yurt is pure relaxation! Mull Yurts is on a working croft on the stunning Isle of Mull. Amazing views, lovely walks, incredible sandy beaches to find and explore. Boat trips head off daily to the Puffin isles of Staffa and Lunga. One of Scotland's top tourist attractions - the Isle of Iona and its Abbey is a few miles away. The Yurt is cosy and wood burner warm. Lovely for a couples getaway or a family space surrounded by fields to play in and wild places to explore.

Whitetail Yurt - A Mongolian Yurt on Ulva

Whitetail Yurt is situated on the Island of Ulva - which is accessed via a small foot passenger ferry fom Mull - on a secluded plot next to Ardalum House, in an exceptionally peaceful location alongside Ulva Sound, with views of Ben Mor, the highest mountain on Mull. Ulva is rich with lush woodlands, and there are extensive moorlands to the west, with otters, red deer, seals and eagles. The geology and archeology are renowned, with walks to basalt cliffs and the Livingstone caves.

Secluded Ptarmigan Yurt

For the first time since we installed it we are opening for the winter months as there are a lot of people around and the weather at the moment is quite warm. To do this we have installed a small oil heater which will keep the temperature up even when the fire is not lit. Once you light the fire it will be really cosy and warm. There is also an electric blanket on the bed for those colder nights. We do reserve the right to move you to the house if the weather becomes inclement.

Am Falachan - Lochside roundhouse

Am Falachan offers a warm welcome within a private and peaceful self-contained dwelling with sweeping views over Loch Broom to Beinn Dearg and the surrounding hills. Am Falachan is located in Letters (An Leitir), 2.5 miles off the A835 and approximately 10 miles from the west coast fishing village of Ullapool. A perfect basecamp for Scotland's Highlands.

Wigtown, Beautiful solar powered Yurt

Dumfries and Galloway dark skies park is a stunning location to get away from it all on our eco friendly off grid small holding. The yurt is solar powered with 12vt lights and has a wood burning stove, shower room and composting toilet. The yurt has a double bed and three singles (all with down duvets) so sleeps 4 x1 or 1x2 and 3x1 . The chemical free, DIY hottub is very private and for the exclusive use of our guests, only available for bookings of 3 nights or more
