Sunriver is a 20 minute drive and has endless possibilities of food choices, restaurants, bars, unique shopping, art gallery, bike trails and bike rental. For the kiddos it features a climbing wall, giant slides/swings a pottery painting studio and much more. Too many things to list. Just a few more is a golf course along the river, horseback riding and water park.

Parks & Nature
Paulina Falls is breathtaking. There is a short hike to a hot spring. Paulina lake has boat rentals and an incredible lodge with yummy food choices. Paulina plunge is super family fun! This is around a 35 minute drive from my home. Only a 20 minute drive is Mc Kay Falls.It is a 5 minute hike from parking to a waterfall that falls into a magical pool. One of my favoritve places!

Newberry Crater RoadPaulina Falls is breathtaking. There is a short hike to a hot spring. Paulina lake has boat rentals and an incredible lodge with yummy food choices. Lapine by far is the best place to float. The Little Deschutes is much warmer and runs slower that the Big Deschutes. If you are looking for a less populated and quiet float with incredible scenery along the way. This Is It!

5 minutes from my home, the state park features endless hiking and biking trails. It has a day use beach along the Big Deschutes and it is home to "Big Tree" which is the largest ponderosa in Oregon. It was shortened a bit by a lightning strike a couple of years ago, but still incredibly impressive!

It was shortened a bit by a lightning strike a couple of years ago, but still incredibly impressive!

This is what i would consider an upscale convenience store. Just 5 minutes from my home. It features fresh produce, a deli with home made comfort foods. Coffee drinks made to order. And top notch, high quality meats(grass fed) and some organics.
