Family owned and operated. Authentic Andalusian food. They have a diverse main menu, but also a three course menu for a very good price. It's mostly patronised by locals, however, they speak English as well. In the summer, there is a Baracoa outside.

This is another great restaurant in Alhaurín el Grande. Seating is outside and inside, so you can watch the action on the streets on the warmer evenings. They have an impressive list of wines, and delicious tapas.

One of the best grocery stores in the area. Please note that they have a built in parking garage on the opposite side of the main entrance. After passing the main entrance, you will make a left at the roundabout, and left again. You will see the Parking signs. Bring your ticket into the Mercadona for validation. Check for local hours, however usually open until 21:30. Closed on Sunday.

This is an awesome pharmacy. The head pharmacist (Javier) studied in England, and speaks English and Spanish. They are very friendly and helpful and the closest pharmacy to the Finca.

Getting Around
Our car rental of choice is Del Paso. They have very competitive rates, speak English and Spanish. If you pick up your vehicle after 23:00, a fee may be added to your rental. We also suggest adding the complete insurance package. We have observed that when you are returning to the airport, if you do not have complete insurance, the rental companies will be very thorough on reviewing any damage, and this can delay your arrival to the airport via shuttle. Also, Del Paso is next to a BP, which has reasonable fuel prices for refueling before dropping off.

The downtown Malaga location is largest, however, parking is expensive. Very good customer service is paramount to them.

Embark on Córdoba, and take a tour of the Cathedral and former Great Mosque of Cordoba, a building declared a World Heritage Site, its construction started in 786 and had several extensions during the Emirate and the Caliphate of Cordoba. After the Reconquest, in 1238, it became a Catholic Cathedral and today is one of the most important monuments in Spain and of all Andalusian architecture. The structure is regarded as one of the most accomplished monuments of Moorish architecture.
There are museums, beautiful architecture, and delicious food to experience.

The gold the statues and the colours plus the architecture are wonderful. It is situated in the old part of town and you can combine your visit with a truly Spanish experience in one of the bars or restaurants that are in close proximity.

A stunning facade in a great setting, stepped in history. A must visit on the tourist trail of Alhaurín el Grande. This church was a site of Muslim worship prior to 1485. Another chapel was built in the 16th C. (Destroyed by Napoleon's troops in 1812 when they also destroyed the convent next door - now the site of the Town hall). The current edifice was built in 1921 - so not a super old building. Look particularly up and see the glistening green spires atop the building (vs. the purple spires at San Sebastian).
