Shopping
Nice and big shopping center in Flushing. There are stores like discounte Nordstorm Racks, Bed Bath and Beyond, and a discount outlet Nike store which replaced the former Five Guys Burger. A Sam's Club is connected by an indoor parking lot. The parking lot is ALWAYS busy and never lose your parking ticket or you will be charged for a full 24 hours of parking.
Other stores that have a presence here: Marshall, Payless, Forever 21 and Old Navy, a recently opened UniGlo, and many others.
There is a large Chinese supermarket but their prices are slightly higher than other supermarkets located in Flushing proper.

The Shops at SkyView Center

The station is a six minute walk from our apartment. This is the END of the 7 train. It's two stops from Citifield station which leads directly to Citifield itself. The 7 train goes to Penn Central Station in Manhattan.

The station is a six minute walk from our apartment. This is the END of the 7 train. It's two stops from Citifield station which leads directly to Citifield itself. The 7 train goes to Penn Central Station in Manhattan.
This station is part of the Long Island Railroad route. The Long Island Railroad also goes to Penn Central Station in Manhattan. Tickets for railroad train access are sold from their on-site vending machines. If going to Citifield, this is NOT the service you want, but the 7 Station subway.

This station is part of the Long Island Railroad route. The Long Island Railroad also goes to Penn Central Station in Manhattan. Tickets for railroad train access are sold from their on-site vending machines. If going to Citifield, this is NOT the service you want, but the 7 Station subway.
Food Scene
There are restaurants and little shops galore in the area. Too many to list by name. If you are a people watcher, there are people hustling from here to there all hours of the night. After 10 pm is when the neighborhood slows down, and even then there are people around.
