Venetian fortress. You can climb the 1000 steps that begin at the road leading to Arvanitia beach - or if you're feeling lazy you can drive all the way around to the top. ;)
Lovely music festival during June - July, with concerts inside the fortress!

Closest beach - just underneath the Palamidi fortress (big pebbles or you can jump from the pier). There is a restaurant (rather pricey), so you can eat without leaving the beach. You can pay for chaises longues, or you can simply lay your towel on the beach for free.

Museum of war - nicer than it sounds! In one of the only other Venetian houses left in Nafplion, apart from our own. It's across the main street diagonally from our house - not sure why this map insists on switching it with the Pelopponesian Foundation....

The archeological museum is in Syntagma Square (main old square, also full of cafes / ice cream parlors / restaurants). Not sure why the software insists on putting it elsewhere on the map...
