Campus Facilitiesfacilities_img Ashoka is a fully residential campus and has been equipped to house 800 students in 390 fully furnished, air-conditioned rooms. Residences have common bathrooms on each floor, a lounge area and facilities for laundry and fitness. On-Campus Dining: The centrally-located dining hall has a multi-cuisine menu and offers three nutritious meals and evening snacks each day. The meal-system functions on a pay-per meal model which enables students to pay only for the meals they eat. A tuck shop and a cooperative store is open for students to purchase both fresh and packaged food, and other general provisions. Various eateries on campus offer further variety in food, some of which remain open through the night with delivery options for students’ convenience. Wifi enabled campus: The campus is fully wifi-enabled. Students also have access to online resources and state-of-the-art IT infrastructure to support their educational endeavors. Additionally, the IT department at the University also helps students with any difficulties they may face. Library: Our library is open 24-7 so that students have a quiet space to work at all hours of the day. The library provides students with proper access to online resources in the form of books, journals, articles, and other databases that are essential to conducting proper research, regardless of the topic. The library also has a centralized database system that allows students to locate books easily. Our collection has been selected by the University faculty so while many of our books coincide with the curriculum, there are also a number of texts for students to read in their free time. There is also a documentation center for students’ photocopying, scanning and printing needs. Transport transport_img For travel to and from the University, we have shuttle services that work on an hourly or half-hourly schedule. These shuttles transport students to and from the Jahangirpuri metro station, which is towards the north on the Delhi Metro Yellow Line. There are CCTV cameras at all exit points that are staffed by security personnel at all hours. Smoke detectors and fire alarms are placed in every room of the buildings on campus.

JGU is a non-profit global university established by the Haryana Private Universities (Second Amendment) Act, 2009. JGU is established in memory of Mr. O.P. Jindal as a philanthropic initiative of Mr. Naveen Jindal, the Founding Chancellor. The University Grants Commission has accorded its recognition to O.P. Jindal Global University. The vision of JGU is to promote global courses, global programmes, global curriculum, global research, global collaborations, and global interaction through a global faculty. JGU is situated on a 80-acre state-of-the art residential campus in the National Capital Region of Delhi. JGU is one of the few universities in Asia that maintains a 1:15 faculty-student ratio and appoints faculty members from different parts of the world with outstanding academic qualifications and experience. JGU has established five schools: Jindal Global Law School, Jindal Global Business School, Jindal School of International Affairs, Jindal School of Government and Public Policy and Jindal School of Liberal Arts & Humanities. Global Library The Global Library aims to play a proactive and important role in the teaching learning process. It occupies about 10000 square feet of area in T-2 Block of Academic Building. The Library has a collection of about 48000 print volumes and an array of electronic resources. The print collection includes books, monographs, research reports, law reports, and back volumes of periodicals etc. In addition to the professional reading the library provides a good amount of leisure reading and books for soft skills development. All subjects related to the University's academic and research programmes have been included in the collection. Print resources of the Library have been divided into General Collection, and Reference Collection. The library is also developing a core collection of media resources comprising of documentaries, training films, fiction, music, etc. A separate collection of children has been started recently for the young residents of the Campus. General Collection: Books from this collection can be checked out by the members as per their entitlement. General Collection includes professional texts, course related books and monographs on all disciplines. Students are often required to consult treatises, commentaries, reviews and collection of short articles for in depth study of the topic, and also as supplementary reading. The Library, as a matter of policy, stocks only limited number of copies of main textbooks for each course. Most of these are available either only for reference or short term loan. Therefore students are advised to buy their own personal copies of the text books. Some other books in this collection such as ‘Bare Acts’, may be available for short term loan only. Reference Collection comprises a comprehensive collection of encyclopaedias, dictionaries, directories, handbooks, legislations; subordinate legislations, case law digests, multi-volume treatises on specialized subjects. You may also find a few copies of main text books and course related supplementary readings are placed as ‘reserved’ on the request of the faculty concerned. Material from Reference Collection cannot be checked out.
