Reopened to the public after being completely renovated and redeveloped, the Gardens of via Sannio are a green area a stone's throw from the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano and the San Giovanni metro station C. An area of 9,500 square meters that offers citizens and residents a meeting place full of greenery and a play area for the little ones, giving a new face to the whole area close to the Aurelian Walls and Porta Asinaria. On the surface of the new garden the trace of the imposing portico, built during the empire of Claudius, has been re-proposed, which was found during the excavations for the metro C.
