Because is definitely one of Rome's historical restaurants.
One hundred and twenty years now, the place is run by the same family, a truly "amore romano". Once a favorite destination of great intellectuals and writers such as Pier Paolo Pasolini and Alberto Moravia, preserved from those years the same ability to be a pole of attraction, having remained a meeting place for contemporary artists. A simple, rustic and welcoming; a galaxy of tastes, traditional flavors and timeless fragrances. Pasolini, on the evening of 1 November 1975, before his tragic end, consummated with Ninetto Davoli the last meal in San Lorenzo in Pommidoro restaurant. The check with which the writer paid dinner is framed and hung in the dining room.
