Only 20 mins from Mudgee and steeped in history, being the original town on the $10 Dollar note. It has an awesome Thai Restaurant and some great pubs and a store called Stacks Down Under, if you can't find what you are looking for there you might not find it anywhere. My grandparents are from here and I have a lot of family history in Gulgong and you will find me marching in the Anzac March each and every year.

There is a Mudgee Loop walking track that starts off in Mudgee and takes you along the riverside and across to Glen Willow Stadium. Super easy walk, all paved and flat. Great for bikes as well. Markets are also held here the 2nd weekend of the month.

Courtesy Buses
Courtesy Buses now run from most pubs in town. A great way to get to and from places for free. Courtesy buses do want you to visit their venues, but even if it is a drink at one pub and dinner at another .. One can pick you up and the other bring you back.
Order the bus to arrive at 10 Avisford Court Mudgee and go out to the front of our home via the little path beside the pool.
