The Archaeological Museum of Palaeopolis inaugurated in 2003 and is dedicated to the antiquities of Palaeopolis, which was -for twelve centuries- the capital of the island. This small but beautiful museum contains collections of sculptures, statues, coins and inscriptions found in the excavations of ancient Palaeopolis. On the main road from Gavrio to Chora, in the center of Palaeopolis village - 20 km from Chora and 12 km from Gavrio.

Archaeological Museum of Paleopolis
The Archaeological Museum of Palaeopolis inaugurated in 2003 and is dedicated to the antiquities of Palaeopolis, which was -for twelve centuries- the capital of the island. This small but beautiful museum contains collections of sculptures, statues, coins and inscriptions found in the excavations of ancient Palaeopolis. On the main road from Gavrio to Chora, in the center of Palaeopolis village - 20 km from Chora and 12 km from Gavrio.

Apoikia is a romantic and rare landscape of the Cyclades and it is known for itssprin of Pithara that the table water Sariza comes from.
Built during the Hellenistic era 4th of 3th century BC, it is 20 meters high, impressive and very well preserved . It is actually next to the house on the mountain of upper Agios Petros.

A less known Andros spot! Tha Faneromeni Castle or Pano Kastro or The Old Lady’s Castle “tis Grias to Kastro” ruins over the Bay of Korthi (600m altitude) and next to the picturesque village of Kochilou. Built from 1207 until 1233, by the Venetian ruler Marino Dandolo, it was the largest medieval city of Andros (but there are also traces of Roman fortifications). The view of the eastern Aegean Sea is imposing and unique. Close to the entrance of the castle (200 meters to the left of the gate) there is a cave with stalactites. On the fifteenth of August, the church of Faneromeni is celebrated and feasts are held.

A less known Andros spot! The holy Monastery of Panahrantos is surrounded by huge rocks, sculpted by the air over the centuries, creating caves, the largest of which were also used as a hermitage. The view is dizzying. It gives you the feeling that you are hanging over the gap. All the villages of central Andros and Chora are in front of you.
An unknown corner of Andros! A long drive from Gavrio but the dizzying view will compensate you. A marvellous spot that can be combined with a visite to the Korthi valley. Enjoy a unique sunset looking at the islands of Kea, Giaros, Siros, Kithnos and Serifos

The Monastery of Zoodochos Pigi or Agias, is the largest monastery on the island and is located between Gavrio and Batsi. The church of the monastery is of Byzantine style and architecture, with a wood-carved icon screen.
The dirt road which start from Agios Kyprianos, is a path to Batsi.

Nature at its best! A Beautiful beach with an exciting drive to get there. A narrow dirt road will take you downhill - at times it feels very much like an off-road expedition. The valley of Vori is largely inhabited and green all around because of a river that crosses the beach, and for this reason is not particularly infrequent you see small turtles!
Crystal clear light cyan waters and is ideal for swimming, fishing and diving. An impressive shipwreck is hidden round the corner from Vori beach. Be prepared to have with you an umbrella and plenty of drinking water.

The valley of Vori is largely inhabited and green all around because of a river that crosses the beach, and for this reason is not particularly infrequent you see small turtles!
Crystal clear light cyan waters and is ideal for swimming, fishing and diving. An impressive shipwreck is hidden round the corner from Vori beach. Be prepared to have with you an umbrella and plenty of drinking water.

Follow the main road towards Chora and, at Stavropeda, turn right and then right again to get to Chalkolimionas beach. Approximately half kilometer before the end of the road, there is a gravel road to your left that leads to Apothikes. There is a parking area.

Right in the center of the west side of the island, in the area of Stavropeda. Sandy beach with crystal clear waters, a small and scenic cove. There are few sunshades and a beach bar. Follow the main road towards Chora and, at Stavropeda, turn right and then right again to get to Chalkolimionas beach. Approximately half kilometer before the end of the road, there is a gravel road to your left that leads to Apothikes. There is a parking area.

On the southeastern side of the island, on the north part of Ormos Korthiou. Its unique characteristic is a tower-like rock formation emerging from the water (Google it!). It’s a rather small beach with both sand and pebbles and crystal clear waters. By car, 10 minutes away from Korthi. However, you won’t avoid taking the last 300 meters on foot, following a downhill path. You can also get there by sea, taking a boat from Korthi.

A great choice close to the house. In the northwestern side of the island, 5 km north of the port of Gavrio. Very large beach with crystal clear water, the depth of which varies. It is not organized, but has trees that provide shade and it is considered as one of the best of the island. You can enjoy your meal at the tavern located near the beach. After Gavrio, take the road to Fellos and Ano Fellos that leads to the beach.
The cave at Aladino village -4.5 to 5 million years old- is one of the top attractions of Andros and has an area of approximately 500 m2. It consists of five halls, four of which are open to the public. The cave is an impressive spectacle composed of stalactites, stalagmites, helictites, hanging rocks and colorful limestone.
