Access to the town belt is right across the road from our cottage. Wander the many bush trails, enjoy the views, and climb to the top of Mt Victoria.

Our local beach is 10 minutes walk down the hill, but around the corner is Lyall Bay which is a lovely beach for swimming and walking.
Or travel further towards Owhiro Bay and beyond takes you to a coastal walk to a seal colony at Red Rocks. Great for a picnic outing on a good day.

Our local beach is 10 minutes walk down the hill, but around the corner is Lyall Bay which is a lovely beach for swimming and walking.
Or travel further towards Owhiro Bay and beyond takes you to a coastal walk to a seal colony at Red Rocks. Great for a picnic outing on a good day.

You can walk around the coast (40 minutes) for a coffee, then work off the muffin by coming straight up the steps from the end of Queens drive/Sutherland Road, to complete the circuit.
