This is a wonderful place to eat breakfast and lunch on East Burnside! They serve waffles, fried chicken, biscuits and gravy, great salads and fruit dishes. It is our "binge" place, but also one of the best spots for salad and fruit. Their southern U.S. cuisine is also served at dinner time. Reservations are recommended.

Nuestra Cocina, on SE Division, is an incredibly healthy take on Mexican food. Delicious menu items from civiche to moles. They make their own fresh tortillas (but you have to ask for them). Lots of vegetarian items as well as fish, chicken, beef and pork. It's been one of our favorites for at least 20 years. They also have a great bar. No reservations required.

This is our FAVORITE pizza place of all time. The owner/chef, Sarah Minnick, was featured on Netflix's Chef's Table Pizza.
They always make the list of "top best places to get pizza in the U.S". They serve fantastic pizzas, salads, soups, foccasia bread etc. That's fifty percent. The other fifty percent is their handmade ice cream. It's a bit of a drive but it's worth it! No reservations so get there early. It's open seven days a week until 10:00 PM.

Blank Slate is a cocktail bar with delicious oysters on the half shell and small plates. They have a nice list of beer and wines too. Their selection of cocktails changes frequently. This is in the neighborhood on Glisan and it is one of our favorites. We get oysters, salad, mushrooms on toast, and dessert for a full meal. Yummm!!!
