This restaurant has really incredible, delicious food and natural wines. Not cheap but excellent price point for the quality of the food and cuisine. All ingredients are sourced from Canada and menu is seasonal. Sharing menu is a must for first-timers. Chef does the extensive craft beer list as well and at this cozy place that feels like a living room with huge moroccan rug and teak furniture, you get to see the kitchen as you walk in the door! Home-made sourdough bread is to die for.

This vegan Caribbean place is known as one of the best kept secrets in Toronto. My co-host is the chef here and it's my place of work. Even non-vegans love it! Delicious and nutritious vegan & gluten-free proteins + organic veggies, all with Caribbean flavors. Specialty tonics are a must for hangover or jet lag, or that energy boost that you need to start your big day on the town. Check it out!

Drinks & Nightlife

Check their website for scheduled performances, or just drop in for a specialty cocktail and see what's happening. They play the movie Dead Man on a loop at this place which is one of the things I love about it. Supportive spot for local artists and always a great show. Intimate and small!

Right around the corner form my place, literally 2 minutes walk, this little bar carries an extensive and impressive wine selection. Food is really good too and served late into the night. Go for their salads and a charcuterie plate for sure. The expensive wine by the glass is worth it.

Wonderful natural foods store in Kensignton market, I love their coconut kiefer if you've never tried it. It's so delicious and potent stuff, great with fresh fruits or in smoothies. Come here to get fresh baked bread and organic veggies. Other groceries and health food stores available in the market as well.

Everything Else

If you've never heard of it a float tank is basically a larger than human sized tank full of salted water that allows people to float without any effort whatsoever. there are literally tons of salt in this water so all you do is strip down, get in and float in the dark for an hour or more. Incredibly therapeutic because it allows your muscles to relax in a lower gravity setting. Said to blur the boundaries between your skin and the water/air as the temperature is the same all around. Great for people with difficulty sleeping, and just a wonderful rejuvanizing therapy for anyone! Challenge yourself to float!
