The best place for fresh produce and local artisan products. Plus the hot chips are second to none.
Also on weekends there is often a great seafood van in residence - closer than Peninsula Fresh Seafoods so great for last minute purchases. Their Oysters are fantastic.

Fabulous local restaurant - along with their sister takeaway place Mr Bentley in Rye. Great food, awesome happy hour (4-7 on Thursday and Friday I think...) and do a good "locals night" special on Thursdays...

Sightseeing
NOT what you expect from a back beach... go at low tide and its dead flat. Known locally as the "rock pools" - revealed at low tide on the right as you come down the stairs from the car park. Great for kids and adventurous teens.

Rough as hell - ONLY go when the flags are out and stay in between them! One of the most dangerous beaches we have, but if you follow the lifeguards advice and take your boogie board you will have endless fun.

Dog Friendly
Forget Disney World, THIS is the happiest place on earth. From just west of the Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron all the way to the start of the path to the Eastern Sister, is dog heaven. It gets busy in the peak of summer (between xmas and NYE) so go early. Note also the varying rules:
Between 26 December and 1 March, Dogs must be on leads from 12pm-7pm.
Off lead at all other times of the year.
We also recommend the DIY dog wash at Petstock Rosebud (behind Bunnings) for the end of your stay ;)

Flinders is known for beautiful galleries and homewares - not to mention a golf course with stunning views and some of the most amazing coastline there is. Worth a day trip or 2!
