Nice hike down to the water on the Harstine Island
The closest entrance to the national park is past picturesque Lake Cushman, just over an hour away from the Harstine house. Once you pass the entrance to the park, there is a fantastic loop hike along the North Fork of the Skokomish River. It is so beautiful!!!

Lake Cushman has so many fun hiking trails and the lake is surprisingly warm in the summer months. The trails range from easy to challenging and you can stop in Hoodsport for some food on your way in or out.
