This place is situated right on the Oakdale Dam, where the lakes turn into the Tippecanoe River. They have very good food and usually have some live music on the weekends during the warm months!

They always say the hole in the wall places are the best right? This is true for TCs. They have prime rib on Thursdays, make sure you call ahead for a reservation as it fills up fast!

City/town information
Lake Freeman and Lake Shaffer offer a variety of fun things to do if you have brought a boat with you on your trip. Indiana Beach amusement park is located north of town with loads of fun for the whole family. The Madam Carroll is open during the summer and features a variety of local bands, giving you great music and drinks while cruising around the lake. White Horse Winery offers great locally made wine, as well as Fruitshine Winery. There is a Walmart, Kroger and Rural King here if you are looking for a wider variety of items for your stay. There is also a drive-in movie theater at the Lake Shore Drive In Theater which offers shows during the summer!

Lafayette/West Lafayette/Purdue University: These areas will have the most dining and activity options of all the towns Horseshoe Hideaway is close to. We recommend visiting Columbian Park and the Columbian Zoo during your stay. If you are visiting during the summer, catch a Lafayette Aviators minor league baseball game at the newly renovated Loeb Stadium right next to the park. Tropicanoe Cove water park is also located in the same area. Downtown Lafayette has lots of great bar and dining options in the downtown area with a cool walking bridge into West Lafayette over the Wabash River. There is a great farmers market every Saturday from May - October. Lafayette has many festivals during the spring and summer months. The Tippecanoe Amphitheater offers some concerts during the summer and has hiking trails.
Around the Lafayette area, NICHES Land Trust has several different nature preserves that offer hiking trails, such as Clegg Memorial Gardens and Granville Sand Barrens. In the area there are a few different kayak/canoe rental companies for floating the different forks of the scenic Wildcat Creek. There are also public access locations for this creek, you just have to search for them. NICHES Land Trust offers one or two of their properties for public access to the Wildcat.
